As Chief Executive of the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Board in New Zealand Aleyna is responsible for leading the Board to facilitate and protect public health and safety by ensuring practitioners are competent and fit to practise. 

Aleyna has considerable governance experience working alongside Boards providing trusted advice and direction. Before joining the Board, Aleyna was the Deputy Chief Executive at the Medical Council of New Zealand. 

Aleyna is a lawyer, and has extensive litigation experience, specialising in public, regulatory, and dispute resolution, and has a particular focus on public safety.
