Professional Bio
Anne-Maree has worked at the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) since 2002. She has managed the administration and operation of the mandatory WaterMark Certification Scheme since 2011 including the Scheme’s initial transfer to, and establishment within, the ABCB; a major review of the Scheme; adoption of agreed improvements to its administration; and awareness and education initiatives for the Scheme. More recently, Anne-Maree has steered the implementation of the new Lead Free requirements for plumbing products contained in the Plumbing Code of Australia.
Previously at the ABCB, Anne-Maree had responsibility for regulation impact assessments for key reforms to the Building Code of Australia, including for initial energy efficiency provisions for residential and commercial buildings, and the introduction of Disability Access Standards for buildings. She has also undertaken policy development and education resource development at the ABCB.
With a background in design, architecture, business administration, construction and project management, Anne-Maree holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Design and Bachelor of Architecture.
